Evaluating for Teaching Excellence Workshops 2023

To support the Evaluating for Teaching Excellence Cards, we’re also running a series of workshops each term to support staff as they evaluate and reflect. Booking links for workshops are listed below.

The principles workshop provides a general overview and the other four more detailed approaches to reflection in each area. Feel free to book on as many or as few as you see fit:

Principles of teaching evaluation

In this workshop we’ll explore the use of evaluation to enhance teaching and evicence excellence. Practical advice and guidance will be given not only on evaluation, but also on action planning to enhance and evolve your teaching strategies

Using digital tools to evaluate your teaching 
In this workshop we’ll explore how digital tools can be used to evaluate and inform your teaching using elements of the Evaluating for Excellence Toolkit. We’ll explore techniques and strategies to engage in these activities and to develop and enact action plans that evolve your teaching practice using data derived from these tools.

In this workshop we’ll explore how to engage in peer-review of your teaching using elements of the Evaluating for Excellence Toolkit. We’ll explore techniques and strategies to engage in these activities and develop and enact action plans to evolve your teaching practice following feedback from peers.

Using structured self-reflection to evaluate your teaching 
In this workshop we’ll explore how to be critically self-reflective using elements of the Evaluating for Excellence Toolkit. We’ll explore techniques and strategies, not just to develop skills in refection on your own teaching, but also to develop and enact action plans to evolve your teaching practice and provide strategies and tips for writing reflectively about your own teaching.
